Bruce Bennett emcees - Steve Kuhn guest - Pledge to the Speakeasy!




It's still marathon time (WFMU's 2007 fundraising marathon). Film critic and regular cohost Bruce Bennett joins as emcee!

Jazz pianist Steve Kuhn is our live phone guest at midpoint for spell. His new CD Live at Birdland (Blue Note) has just come out, and he will actually be performing at Birdland (NYC) from March 13-17 with w/ Ron Carter on bass and Al Foster on drums. On March 20 he will be at Dizzy's Coca Cola Club (NYC) w/ Sheila Jordan (voice), David Finck (bass), and Billy Drummond (drums), and March 21-24 it's back to Birdland with w/ Javon Jackson (tenor),Buster Williams (bass) and Al Foster (drums).
