Film fun with citics Amy Taubin on A History of Violence and others, then Premiere mag and Cinephiliac.com 's Aaron Hillis on his favorites.

Speaking of cinema classics, I noticed that a "Night of the Lepus" DVD is out now.

Haven't seen that one yet. As soon as I got a DVD player the first thing I went out & looked for was NIGHT OF THE LEPUS, to no avail. Luckily I found that there WAS a DVD release of REPTILICUS, so I didn't have to go home crying.

Can there ever be too many ravenous bunny films? Maybe after seeing "W&G", I'll know.

Unfortunately "The Food of the Gods" remains available (and some would end the sentence there) only in VHS, and there's no "The Green Slime" DVD except for a Japanese Region 2 disk. But you CAN find "Destroy All Monsters"!

True. Isn't that the one with Ray Milland playing a character a whole lot like the one he played in "Panic in Year Zero"?

But what about "Frog-g-g!"? It's been out on DVD a few months now - and is the world a better place for it?

You know what I'd really like to see released on DVD? "Night Of The Day Of The Dawn Of The Son Of The Bride Of The Return Of The Revenge Of The Terror Of The Attack Of The Evil, Mutant, Alien, Flesh-Eating, Hellbound, Zombified Living Dead Part 2: In Shocking 2-D", that's what. Because there are times when "The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies" just won't cut it.
